Kiwifruit Apple Conserve

4 apples, cored and chopped                                                          1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon grated lime peel                                              1/2 cup golden raisins

1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds                       3 kiwifruit, pared and chopped

Combine all ingredients except kiwifruit in stainless steel or enamel saucepan; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer until fruit is translucent. Add kiwifruit and continue cooking 5 minutes. Makes approximately 2 1/2 cups.

Serve with pork or poultry.

Storage tip: Kiwifruit Apple Conserve can be stored, refrigerated, in covered container for up to 6 weeks.
