Kiwifruit and Grape Rice Pudding



3 cups milk

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup rice

2 kiwifruit, pared, sliced and quartered

1/2 cup seedless red grapes, halved

1 tablespoon margarine

Cinnamon sugar

Kiwifruit slices

Combine milk, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Heat until small bubbles form around the edge of the pan. Stir in rice. Cook, covered, over low heat about 45 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the milk is absorbed. Stir occasionally. Stir in kiwi quarters, grapes and margarine. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar; garnish with kiwifruit slices. Serve immediately. Makes about six servings.

Ready prepared cinnamon sugar may be used or you can make your own by combining four teaspoons sugar with one teaspoon ground cinnamon.
