8. KIWI PACKING After arrival at the packing shed, the bins are dumped onto the packing line where the fruit is brushed, graded, sized and packed into various shipping containers. The fruit is graded by hand and sized by electronic, computerized sizers. The entire kiwifruit crop is harvested and packed within about six weeks, between the end of September and the middle ov November. |
